eAR 252 3G-WBT comes with the new 3rd Generation State-of-the-art, high efficiency ICEpower, which is based on the patented HCOM modulation and MECC control techniques. It is a distortion-free power amplifier that put out 2 X 250 watts (RMS) at 4 ohms. It can drive impedance spikes below 3 ohms and will never get hotter than body temperature. Under normal listening conditions it consumes an average/a maximum of 10 watts, and while idling, only a few, so electric bills and global warming are not matters for concern here. Its inputs and next-gen WBT speaker terminals are gold-plated and it is built for trouble-free performance.The eAR® 252 3G-WBT is unflatteringly honest. It will not cover up the deficiencies of a badly engineered recording or mediocre or poorly balanced equipment. It will not glamorize. It will simply and truthfully amplify the signal that is going into it, and if that signal is a poor signal, the signal reaching your speakers will not be any better.
